What interests Minister Mona Neubaur about Hermann Bock
Outstanding products, responsible use of resources and the environment and enthusiastic employees, partners and customers can also be found in other companies in East Westphalia. So what brought Mona Neubaur, NRW Minister for Economic Affairs, Industry, Climate Protection and Energy, to Hermann Bock in Verl on 17 July of all places?
Hermann Bock is an almost typical example of the companies that have characterised the success of the region for decades: A medium-sized family business in its third generation, which did not only discover the term 'values' for itself when analysts began to demand it: Perhaps a good reason for the minister's visit? Our guess is another.
Bock consistently develops and produces nursing care beds for people. And it is the last company in the industry to actually make them in Germany. Was that the reason for the Minister's visit?
We believe that Mrs Neubaur is interested in the concept with which we have combined ecology and economy in a way that is quite unique to date: CO2 footprint analyses have led to exciting lighthouse projects: The climate-friendly nursing care bed, for example, and the entry into the circular economy with the revolutionary refurbishment of existing nursing care bed stocks made bock a pioneer in key current fields of action.
Hermann Bock leads the way - and invites you to join in.

An idea that is already bearing fruit: under the umbrella of the komz, the first supply contract was created in cooperation with GWQ plus, on the basis of which CO2-reduced nursing care beds are better remunerated.
It's all in the mix
The medical principle of evidence-based product development, the highest regional vertical range of manufacture in the industry and climate and resource-friendly lighthouse projects - plus, last but not least, the conviction of fruitful cooperation put into practice with the founding of komz: It's all in the mix. And this could also have brought our Minister Neubaur to Verl...
